The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also known as the Mormon Church) claims to be the only true church on the face of the earth. The church Jesus Christ established when He was on the earth fell away because of the wickedness of its members and the deaths and martyrdom of the Twelve Apostles. What followed was an Apostasy of the primitive Church. Mormons believe that the fullness of Christ’s gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith.
